Hurricane Update & Food Drive
As we slowly return to some sort of normalcy, I took a day to catch up from supply runs, setting up washing machines, community showers, etc. I have been trying to find places for our celebrities to stay, adjusting our season calendar, working on ways to help our community and listening to the amazing ideas of everyone in my corner. I had a long conversation with R.A. Mihailoff (Leatherface) today and we have mutually decided for him to take this year off to help us survive this storm. We have no choice but to open this year, given the extensive renovations that have been made. And we hope there are people out there who need a break from this messed up reality and we are able to entertain them like we know best. That being said, below is our updated calendar for this season. We removed some nights, added some nights and extended into November. We shortened our weekend hours. However, if you are in line before closing time, we will run you through and do not turn anyone away. Thomas Rickman (Stream) moved his appearance to draw some more people out. And he has agreed to allow us to use his OticeShop.com platform to accept credit cards this year. We know people are cash strapped, so we hope to be set up to accept credit cards from those who want to come but don’t have the immediate cash due to our region being cash only at this point in time.
We are also going do run a food drive the entire 2024 season. For every can/box of food, loaf of bread, non-perishable food item you bring in as a gift, you will receive $1 off (up to $5 off) admission price. Bring in 5 items and receive $5 off admission. Bring in 2 items, receive $2 off admission. This is for every amazing person that comes through the door. We will store the food throughout the weekend and deliver it to local Churches on Monday so they can get these items to the people in need.
It has been amazing seeing everyone join together throughout this disaster. Our team has been very hard at work looking out for others. We are here for you, if you need anything.
